These Clamshell Gauntlets constructed of hand-forged 16 gauge steel has been designed like mittens to protect the hands and wrist, and the cuff flares to allow as much wrist movement as possible. Each metal plate is riveted down making the pieces like hinges. Leather straps inside the cuff and thumb allows a person to have a good firm grip on the Gauntlets and whatever is in their hand.
